Hey, I’m Sarah! I’m a life and health coach for work-at-home moms who want to get healthy and calm the chaos of mom life, so they feel amazing and have more energy to enjoy life.

Moms come to me when they’re in a season of personal growth – yep, including that “done-with-diets-that-don’t-last” phase.

Together, through coaching and accountability, we create a plan that makes them feel confident and clear on exactly what they need to do to get healthy AND show up as a better mom.

For the last 20 years, I’ve been helping women gain confidence and clarity in who they are as women and moms, and for the last 10 years have also been helping women get healthy, lose weight, and have more energy so they can enjoy life more.

I’ve dedicated my career to helping women love and appreciate themselves — crazy and all!

I love when my clients say things like:

“Sarah helped me to realize the potential I had inside me. I had spent my life trying to please others and conform to what I thought the world wanted me to be. Working with Sarah helped me to find myself and acknowledge the strong person that I am.

I went into coaching with Sarah wanting to lose weight and along the way discovered who I am. I am still a work in progress, but my confidence in myself has grown exponentially.

She will challenge you and she will convince you that you can push yourself to make the changes that you want in your life.

Curious what makes me get such amazing results for my clients? Here are a few hints:

  • In ministry for 20+ years

  • Certified Life Coach through Erickson

  • Institute of Integrative Nutrition Health Coach Grad

  • Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certified

  • Internation Coaching Federation (ICF) ACC

Except…there’s so much more to me than a bunch of certifications.

There’s a big WHY behind the work I DO.

It’s because I’ve done it myself.

The first thing you have to know is I’m a mom. Just like you.

Raising 3 kids, I didn’t have the time to make getting healthy and losing weight a full-time job and thankfully I know now it doesn’t have to be.

BUT MY STORY STARTS BEFORE THE KIDS SHOWED UP.

I GAINED 35 POUNDS 6 MONTHS OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL. I WENT FROM PLAYING SPORTS, TO DOING NOTHING — SO BASICALLY THE FRESHMAN 30.

I never really knew a lot about nutrition. I wasn’t raised with healthy habits. I thought Cheez-its and ice cream were an acceptable breakfast.

So I didn’t know HOW to lose the weight.

I spent 10 years trying to lose it.

But I really had no idea how to do it. I thought maybe going for walks would help. I tried jogging for 2 months before I realized, “Yeah, I hate this.” I ordered off the kids menu because there were fewer calories, right?

It wasn’t until I found Weight Watchers that I learned what food and calories really *were.* I learned the concept of energy balance…For someone who grew up thinking food was nothing more than taste, it was eye-opening.

All of a sudden, I had a system and rules to follow. I decided to get a fitness tracker watch. As a super analytical person, tracking my data became a game for me. I started thinking, “If I can burn 200 calories, I get 2 extra WW points!” It was motivating for me!

From there, one of my friends had some Turbo Jam DVDs and we started doing them together. That was the first time I realized exercise can actually be fun. (What?! I didn’t have to kill myself running for 6 miles a day?!)

This lifestyle was manageable while raising two kids. I figured out how to lose weight, learned so much about exercise and nutrition, and felt like I’d found a real community of like-minded people.

I decided to become a Beachbody coach. But after working with 100s of women I realized I wanted to go deeper and work more long-term with people.

I was tired of the churning people in and out – and not knowing if they got lasting results.

I realized it’s not JUST about diet and nutrition. I started to notice that the clients who got the best results — sure, they did all the workouts and ate all the “right” meals — but they also worked on their mindset and their beliefs. They had a real purpose.

So I decided to get trained as a life coach and continue the work I’d been doing the past 20 years in ministry: helping women have confidence in themselves.

Everything was going great, I was feeling healthy and at my ideal weight, I had the energy to spend time with the kids and keep up with dinner, the house, and even start growing my business.

And then…Baby #3 came along…

Suddenly, everything I knew how to do and had worked for me stopped working. What had worked in my late 20s wasn’t working in my late 30s.

I started tracking calories. Counting macros. Went vegan for a month. Exercised every day. Didn’t exercise every day.

I tried all the things. And my body was not responding.

It was super discouraging.

I was a health coach, and my inner dialogue was super critical!

I was so embarrassed and frustrated that I couldn't just get my body to look and feel the way I wanted it to. I also felt lonely — when your friends don’t struggle to keep their weight in check it’s hard to talk about it.

I had the training after all! I was mad – at myself, at my body. I thought my body was broken. I swung back and forth between caring and not caring.

I was on the verge of giving up hope because I just didn't feel like there was a way forward.

I stopped coaching for a while because I felt like such a fraud. If I can’t get my body to do what I want, how can I help other women?

I wanted to feel better than I did. If I was heading into my 40s and couldn’t get the scale to stop going up, how could I do it as I got older?

It was exhausting doing all the “right” things and not getting results.

But what I finally realized was that my body in my late 30s/early 40s wasn’t going to respond as quickly as it did when I was younger. I needed to change my mindset and understand that this was more about being consistent and sticking to a plan for more than 3 or 4 weeks at a time to give my body the time it needed to respond.

Getting 5 to 10 pounds off quickly worked when I was younger, but not now.

Once I finally found a balanced approach (mind + body), accepted that it’s progress, not perfection — I was able to stick to a plan for 3+ months knowing that it’s a journey. With that mindset, I was able to trust the process and commit for the long haul because I wanted to be healthy for my kids and grandkids someday. The commitment was to something deeper than a number on a scale.

Today, I combine health coaching and life coaching with mindset tools to not only help women lose weight but to love every aspect of their lives. I help them learn to trust the process, ignore all the noise and ‘quick fixes,’ and listen to their body’s needs, and figure out what works for them.

One thing I know:

This journey is not about depriving, hating, or punishing yourself — the freedom will come in time as you begin to love and trust yourself.

Confidence and motivation follow action, and I will help you know each step (big and small) you need to take.
